Some pics of the Kids

The other night, our neighbor (who happens to be an amazing photographer) called up and asked me when the last time I had the kids pictures taken professionally. HAH! When Connor and Abi were wee ones in Hawaii for Easter...that's when. So we quickly gussied up the kids and ran over to have him take some quick shots. Here are the end results of our little munchkins (of course, Carly wouldn't sit still for a single picture, so hers are all of her being a ballerina...too cute to not post them all):

As far as our lives go, things are well. Todd spends his days at work drawing up the plans for the new Pharmaceutical School at the University of Utah and his evenings at the library studying for his licensing exams (2 down, 5 to go). He makes up for his absence on the weekends though by playing with the kids and hanging out at home.

I am 5 weeks away from my due date and despite the last three pregnancies having been a walk in the park and no nuisance, I am done with this one. Tired....achy....uncomfortable. Yes, I know, I should cherish every single moment of this miraculous creation...I'll work on that. But truly, life is quite nice and mellow for me. I wouldn't change it for the world.

Connor is reading like crazy and asking how to spell EVERYTHING. He will love kindergarten! We got him registered and all the shots and good stuff done. When they took him to do his eye exam, the nurse said that they usually use flash cards with pictures, but they were missing. She asked if I thought he could read the letters off of the standard eye exam chart. Never knowing how one's child will perform I responded with "I think so." Connor blew us all away when he started giving the sounds the letters make instead of naming the letters. He was also bored with the pace she was taking it at and he just started reading them all from top to bottom.

He passed his eye exam.

Abigail is in an awkward and emotional phase. If she gets it all out now, maybe when she turns 13 it won't be so rough. She is really into imaginative play and can sometimes be a little on the bossy side. Did I tell you that she is potty trained? Yeah! It took about two weeks of regular accidents and the like, but she's got it down.

Carly Belle is in the greatest stage of her life. Happy Happy Happy! It is so contagious. She is repeating everything we say (like the other night while watching American Idol and she yelled at the TV "Ah, Come On"). She is trying her best to get along with her siblings, however, her teasing nature sometimes gets in the way and the other two don't quite get it.

Hopefully the next pics I post are of our newest addition! Wish us luck.

Hide N' Go Seek

Connor:  You're not doing it right.  You are supposed to not be peeking!  That's it.  I'm not playing with you (said to Abi)!

Carly:  Yodelay-Yodelay-Yodelay-Eee-Whoo!  I'm in the Bathtub!

Abi:  That's not a very healthy hiding place (Said to me when I was hiding by the side of the couch.  I think she meant a "very good" hiding place).
