Pickle Preschool

Jaime has discovered my little project, so I suppose it is time to get things underway!

I have been a little frustrated in the cost and schedules of the local preschools here. So I have begun planning one of my own. I already have a few moms who are going to help me out with the teaching and we've got our own little munchkins as students.

I am sharing my plans with you in the hopes that it can help you out if you are in a similar "pickle." Click Here to go to the blog. I am still learning how to attach word files and make it so you can download things (any suggestions Katie?). This means that if you want any of the docs, you'll have to let me know and I can email them to you.

Man, I feel so nervous putting this out there like this...is it silly to have butterflies in my stomach. Maybe because it means it is real and I actually have to follow through with it now. Wish me luck!

I've got a great tip for you. One of my former teaching friends found herself in the same situation and started a preschool for her son. She posted ALL of her lesson plans and the 'how it went' section on a blog dedicated just to the preschool. Here' the address...

FUNNY side note- she has two children: Connor and Abigail and she's 27 weeks pregnant with a boy. You 2 have a lot in common! I've already copied and pasted all of the plans into a Word document. If you want me to email that to you, let me know.

Thanks Em! I have to admit, I found her through your blog a few days ago and we've already been in touch...this is such great networking!

Wow, you are amazing, I checked out the preschool blog. By the way, I went to Joy School and LOVED it! I'm really impressed. I hope we're around long enough to join. :)

Hi Melody -
Great job on the preschool site. I hope you don't mind that I added your links to my blog. I'm so glad that we can keep in touch! Good luck with the preschool!

Looks like you already have your questions answered!! I love your pre-school site and what a cute "banner" thingie! Kim Blackett/Mercer are planning on doing something with our two middle kiddos this next year, and this will be so helpful! Thanks! Good luck!
