Love Dare

What a perfect thing to start right around Valentine's Day. My friend Ashley and her husband gave us a book entitled "The Love Dare" for Christmas. Thanks Ashley!
I started thumbing through it a while ago and it looked very interesting. So a week ago, I started giving the dares a shot. It has been so much fun to be reminded of why I fell in love with Todd and that the best way to love someone is to focus on them more than yourself. The dares have been reciprocated with love and kindness. The mood around our home has changed quite a bit (it may also be because I am not working in the evenings anymore and we actually have time to spend together as a family). Todd mentioned last night that he wants to start reading the book too. It should be even more fun reading it together.

But, there is a movie that coincides with the book and it is available now at redbox. The movie is called "Fireproof". Check it out this weekend, sit down with your significant other and enjoy what it has to share in the way of strengthening your relationship. My neighbor rented it last week and we sat in her basement and wept at the sad parts, bit our nails in the suspenseful parts and laughed at the cheesy parts. The cast includes Kirk Cameron from Growing Pains.

I did get my husband to watch the movie with me last weekend with no trouble! I also found the book at the library--yeah for libraries! I am glad that it is improving life at your house! We all could use a little improvement!

We are watching it tonight as soon as I get off the computer! I always wonder if I will be able to handle watching fireman themed movies... I am afraid that the fireman in the movie will die and I will have a real life break down of fear! I will never be able to watch Ladder 49 ever again!
Maybe we need the book too!
