Now we have to grow up and we don't know how to do it!
Anyways, in honor of my Toddy, I am going to steal an idea from my sweet friend Miranda and give you all some more insight to this guy that has suffered through ten years of schooling, being married to me, fathering 3 little munchkins, moving too many times to count and being able to play hard at the same time.
What is his full name? His parents dubbed him Benjamin Todd Riches. Todd likes to tell people that his first name came from King Benjamin in the Book of Mormon.
How long have you been married? 9 years, 10 months, and a few days. We were married May 30, 2008 in the Salt Lake Temple.
How long did you date? Todd and I began officially dating in December of 1997, we were engaged in March of 1998 and married May of that same year. Those were fun times.
Who eats more sweets? Right now we are both on the "Weight Watchers" diet. However, Todd has to use more of his flex points than I do...so he must. Although I have had to SERIOUSLY change my eating habits or else the answer would have easily been me.
Who said I love you first? Todd did. We were driving back from a performance of "The Messiah."
How old is he? 32
Who is taller? He is, by a hair...literally, if his hair was flat, I'd be taller.
Who is smarter? Todd. For fun, he used to read the dictionary...NERD!!! He would have a different word every month that nobody else used that he would use way too much. That's why I love him. I know this picture doesn't exactly exude smartness, but it's funny. That's another reason I fell in love with Todd...good sense of humor.
Who can sing better? It's sixes. Todd has a beautiful voice. We love to sing together, but don't ever ask him to sing in public or with me...it's not worth the stress. He is a group singer, not a "dueter" or a soloist.
Who does the laundry? I do, but Todd is always quick to remind me when he is out of "whites." I couldn't do it without his encouragement.
Who pays the bills? Bills? We don't have any of those...yet. But I used to and will pick it up once again in a few months.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? If you are looking at the headboard from the foot of the bed, Todd does.
Who mows the lawn? Todd. He is a perfectionist and does an incredible job and he enjoys doing it (along with washing the car, cleaning out the fish tank, etc.)
Who cooks dinner? Me.
Who drives? Todd drives. He can't stand my driving, so for the sake of not being criticized, he drives.
Who is more stubborn? Todd. He would beg to differ, but I am the one writing this, so I win.
Who kissed who first? Todd...in front of his littlest sister. That's when I knew he wanted to marry me. He swore that he would never kiss a girl until he knew it was the one he was supposed to marry. Aaaawwww!Please take note...this is not our first kiss nor was it the sister he kissed me in front of.
Please don't say anything about the hair...I miss it too much.
Who asked who out? For our first date my friend Nicole encouraged me to ask out Todd, so I did. We went to the circus with a huge group of friends. Nicole took my brother. It was so much fun! Thanks Nicole!!!
Who proposed? Toddy did, at "The Roof" after dinner, with his whole family watching.

YEAH,YEAh,YEAH! Way to go Todd! I am so thrilled to hear he graduates in May that mean we are totally on for August! This was such a sweet post! I loved it! Except you have the years wrong on the dating and marriage...take a look! Todd has such a cute famiy! You all are so beautiful! What a great way to celebrate your hubby! LOVE IT! Miss you!!!

I think you meant to put 1997 and 1998 instead of 2007 and 2008. If not, that's a pretty stellar courtship! Good luck to your family. Sounds like you're really happy together.
Wow, what a great post. and WAY TO GO TODD AND MEL (you're included because we all know he couldn't have done it without you.) Lucky him, going back to Hawaii. I might make a little trip there myself, in May, so let me know of your plans! love ya!
